I believe you can only buy borders for 180 degrees of turn, regardless of the radius or how many pieces that actually means. The boxes tend to force you to buy many more than you actually need. I was able to get a lot of them for free from a friend, and filled in the rest of the needed borders through purchasing used ones online, and I think one or two new ones from a retailer that would sell them by the unit, rather than by the box. lacking (IMHO).įor my Carrera layout, because it spends most of it's time in a box, I went with the Carrera borders. 1:24 Scale - This size is only found in Carrera. At this scale the cars are very detailed. 1:32 Scale - This is the most common Slot car size, with cars approx 140mm long. 1:43 Scale - This size is only found in Carrera GO The cars are approx 100mm long and feature a lot of detail. not to mention their barrier wall is a bit. The cars are approx 85mm long and are nicely detailed. I think the main reason we seem to see this come up for Carrera is due to how expensive their borders and barriers are. He did, but it's good that people were giving both answers already, since now he's interested in both.Īs much as I love printed stuff, it's not always the best, or most cost effective option, even if you have your own printer. Initially, I thought it was about walls/barriers, but so many people were answering about border/runoff that I hoped the OP would clarify. ) I was not hedging for another link, but wanted to make sure people were addressing the actual question.
